Boeing 737 Split Carrier HO Scale Flat Car Conversion Components

This kit contains the HO scale components for applying a Boeing fuselage to flat cars as shown or with the fuselge complete with the tail hanging over a spacer car. In addition to our components for holding the fuselage you will need two 60' flat cars and a 1/144th scale 767 kit. We've used the Revell 767 plastic kit on the market since nothing comes close to scale for a 737. With the bullet absorbing shields on the fuselage the model appears reasonably correct. If you can find a close scale model of a 737, let me know. Use of a razor saw comes in handy in working with the fuselage.

Sold as components to build the icicle choppers and fuselage mounts. Airplane model or cars not included.

MSRP $19.99USD

Boeing 737-800 Assembled Carrier Flat Car Conversion Components

Boeing came up with idea hauling the 737 fuselages fully assembled with the tail hanging over a 80+ foot car into the space of a 60 foot car. The technique has been applied to all of the 737 fuselage models, apparently. (I guess they work cheaper in Whichita than Renton.) :-) Actually the Wichita facility has the stretch presses for making all those compound curves in the aluminum.

A match on the protective coating color is supplied in the instructions. A commercial model is illustrated for lack of paint facilities at our new facility.

Kit includes canopy for the short flat car, fuselage mount, and one icicle chopper. Airplane model or cars not included. So far the best bet for a suitable model is 1/100th scale since a 1/87 scale model is not available.
